Bronchitis Tea

Here is my tried and true recipe for a Bronchitis tea. It really works well. And quick. It even helps my husband with his asthma.

Equal Parts

Licorice root
anise
fennel
plantain
coltsfoot

steep 1 tsp. in 1/2 c. water. sweeten with honey or brown sugar. Take 3X's daily.

Goldenseal Thyme Sage and Ginger Tea
(makes 3 cups of mixture)

1 oz. dried goldenseal or echinacea
1 oz. dried thyme leaves
1 oz. whole sage
1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger

Combine ingredients in a mixing bowl; then store in an airtight container. Use 1/4 mixture to 4 cups boiling water, steep 5 minutes, then strain. Sweeten to taste.

Blend 1: Easy Earl Grey

Black Tea
Bergamot leaves
Lavender flowers

To blend the dry herbs use a ratio of 3 parts black tea, 1 part dried bergamot and a pinch of lavender. Blend well.

Blend 2: Easy Mint

Mint
Rosepetals

Use a ratio of 6 parts mint to 1 part rosepetals. Blend well.

Blend 3: Morning Tea

Chamomile flowers
Lemon Balm
Peppermint

Use a ratio of 1 part chamomile, 1 part lemon balm and 3 parts peppermint. Blend well.

Blend 4: Morning Tea To Get You Going

Alfalfa
Mint

Use a ratio of 4 parts mint to 1 part alfalfa. Blend well.

Blend 5: Afternoon Tea

Lemon Verbena
Orange Peel
Chamomile
Orange Mint
Cloves
Cinnamon stick
Hibiscus
Stevia

Instructions: Use 6 parts orangemint, 2 parts lemon verbena, 2 parts chamomile, 1 part orange peel, 1 part hibiscus, 1 part stevia, 1 cinnamon stick and a few cloves. Blend the herbs well.

Use the freshest, driest herbs available to you. Storing the herbs in a glass container is preferred but plastic will do. Steep teas in boiling water for 15-20 minutes for optimal flavour. Enjoy!
